I am a History Teacher who has used comics in the classroom to promote historical understanding and the joys and benefits of reading. My partner teachers English and they use Shakespeare in comic form in their lessons. Here we will explore the uses and benefits of comics in and outside of the classroom and the advanatages and pitfalls a teacher might face.

My favourite product right now are those being produced by Classical Comics. They are bringing Shakespeare to a new audience using an interesting strategy. The Original, Plain and Quick text strategy means almost anyone can access the plays.
